Admissions Requirements
- BS for the MS-DI program or MS (or completion of all but 6 remaining credits towards their master’s degree at the start of the DI program) for the DI Certificate program from a US regionally accredited college or university, or foreign equivalent as determined by a recognized credentialing agency, prior to the start of the DI
- DPD Verification Statement from an ACEND-approved program prior to the start of the DI
- For visa holders, US work authorization for the duration of the DI
- Completion of all application requirements (see below)
- NOTE: GRE is not required
Application Requirements
- Online DICAS application
- Personal statement submitted through DICAS (500 word limit)
- Two letters of recommendation submitted through DICAS
- DPD Verification Statement or Letter of Intent submitted through DICAS
- Official transcripts from graduate and/or undergraduate institutions submitted through DICAS
- Separate submission of a $75 application fee (check or money order which includes your first and last name) – payable to: Nutrition & Food Science, Hunter College, postmarked by February 15, 2025, to the following address:

- Students who are applying to the Local Distance Dietetic Internship Track for the DI Certificate must also submit the Distance Dietetic Internship Application via DICAS by February 15, 2025.
- NOTE: Applicants are required to apply to Hunter for graduate degree-seeking matriculation status through Hunter’s Office of Graduate Admissions ONLY AFTER notification of DI acceptance.
