Orientation is a full-day event that will prepare you to start your journey at Hunter College. Here's an overview of what to expect for the day.
The Hunter Tradition – A welcome from campus leaders where students will learn about how Hunter College traditions have grown into the vibrant and exciting community we know today. You will learn why the Mihi Cura Futuri motto is at the core of Hunter student life.
Top Tips for Success at Hunter – This session will cover all you need to know about your first semester at Hunter. From student life opportunities and club information, financial success tips, and community standards, you will learn how to make your first semester at Hunter a success!
Navigating Campus – Your orientation leaders will walk you through the main campus at Hunter College to ensure you’re all set for your first day. Learn about the Student Union, Hunter Library, Athletics, and other key locations around campus that will help you make the most of your experience as a Hunter Hawk.
Registration for Classes
- Freshmen will register for classes at orientation.
- Transfer students must complete registration for classes prior to attending orientation.
Hunter OneCard – Your OneCard is your official student ID card that you will use throughout your time at Hunter College. To receive your OneCard at the conclusion of the orientation day, you must upload your photo at least three (3) days prior to orientation.
