All new first-year students at Hunter College are required to attend one Freshman Orientation session. You must register for one of the available dates to secure your spot.

What to Expect at Freshman Orientation

• Confirm your Hunter College Mobile OneCard (Student ID) activation
• Review your first-semester schedule
• Get a thorough tour of campus and main offices
• Be introduced to campus resources
• Meet your future classmates

Register for Orientation

The registration link for Freshman Orientation will be sent to your Hunter College (@myhunter.cuny.edu) email address within 5-7 days of receipt of your deposit. Please check your Hunter College email account for your invitation to register the event.

First-Semester Course Schedule

As you register for Freshman Orientation, be sure to update your Anticipated Major on the event registration form, as this information will be used to build out your first semester course schedule.

Starting in late-Spring, you will be automatically enrolled in your class schedule for the Fall semester based on the Anticipated Major indicated on your Freshman Orientation event registration form. Your course schedule will be ready to review approximately one week prior to Freshman Orientation.

Transfer Orientation is a one-day event that will take place at the Hunter College main 68th street campus. Attendance at Transfer Orientation is optional, but highly recommended for all new transfer students at Hunter College. All transfers must be registered for classes prior to attending orientation as transfer orientation will not cover any advising or registration info.
