International Student Experience

Living in NYC

Located in the heart of NYC, Hunter College offers a variety of residential options for our students. Residents are involved in a number of social, educational, and cultural programs designed to enhance their out-of-the classroom education and to promote positive relationships within the residences and the community at large.

You should submit a freshman application if you are a senior in high school or a high school equivalency graduate and you have not enrolled in another college or university.

  • if you have attended another college or university.
  • or if you are seeking a second Bachelor's degree.
  • or if you are a current non-degree student at Hunter and you want to matriculate.

Office of Undergraduate Admissions is excited to offer you many opportunities to get to know Hunter College better. Getting Your Student Visa

Students need to be accepted to Hunter College prior to starting their visa applications. After you have been admitted to Hunter College, the next step to studying in the United States is to apply for the appropriate visa at the American Embassy in your country.
