About Us

The mission of the office of the Career Center is to provide all Hunter students and alumni access to the services and best available resources that will assist them in discovering the career that will provide optimum personal satisfaction. Through an interactive process in individual and group counseling sessions, career counselors assist students in the exploration and evaluation of education, training, work history, interests, skills, and personal traits. Counselors help students recognize underlying factors that may impede progress toward decision-making. The office works collaboratively with faculty to integrate classroom learning with experiential learning through internships and jobs. In an inclusive environment free from discrimination, the office helps develop each individual’s talents, skills, and career goals in preparation for successful employment and a meaningful life.

The Career Center adheres to the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) Principles for Ethical Professional Practice:
