Events

Formerly known as Crossing Borders, Russian and East European Cultures at Hunter College (REEC) is a program which has been offering an opportunity for writers, artists, performers, filmmakers, scholars and political thinkers from Russia and Eastern Europe to present their work in New York City for over a decade.

Reflecting the academic curriculum of the Russian and Slavic Studies at Hunter, the series is designed to inspire our students and enrich their learning experience, as well as to acquaint New Yorkers at large with Russian and East European cultures.

Our events–readings, lectures, film screenings, book talks and more–take place during the academic year and are free and open to the public. You can find more information on the Russian and East European Cultures at Hunter College website.
