The Psychology Department at Hunter College introduces students to the core concepts of behavior and mental processes through exploration of foundational theories and influential empirical research. Known for their deep devotion to students, the faculty and staff of the Psychology department provide students with a superior education. Our faculty and curriculum represent a broad range of scholarly interests and research specializations in Psychology, including Biopsychology (Animal Behavior and Behavioral Neuroscience); Cognitive Psychology; Developmental Psychology; Social Psychology; Health Psychology and Clinical Psychology. Outside of the classroom and laboratory, our faculty sponsor a wide variety of extracurricular activities associated with The Psychology Collective. Our Academic Advising Office sponsors frequent professional development workshops for our students.
