There are a number of tools available for you to choose from for various instructional, meeting and collaboration needs. All of these tools meet Hunter’s privacy and security policies and are supported by ICIT.

Teaching & Learning

Blackboard

Everyone must have their class set up on Blackboard.  For assistance setting up your Blackboard site contact the HelpDesk. Blackboard Collaborate is the preferred synchronous platform for teaching. Blackboard can also be used for one-on-one meetings with students.

Zoom

Zoom will be available on a limited basis for faculty who would prefer it to Blackboard Collaborate; speak with your dean to request to use this tool.  Please be reminded that Blackboard is the homebase that students recognize for course materials and it offers additional support for both instruction and assessment.

Meetings & Events

WebEx

WebEx is available for faculty and staff hosting meetings and events, unrelated to a degree-granting course. Use your @login.cuny.edu username and password to begin using Webex Meetings now.

Advising & Virtual Office Hours

Specialty Software

If your curriculum requires the use of any speciality software (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, SPSS, ArcGIS, streaming services), please communicate with your dean.  Some of these offerings are available through CUNY Virtual Desktop.

We will do our best to accommodate faculty requests and will address them on a case-by-case basis.
