Dr. Woodard holds expertise in the specialties of pelvic health, sports physical therapy, and orthopedic physical therapy. Beginning his academic career in 2010 he now enthusiastically teaches in the musculoskeletal curriculum and physiology course at Hunter College.
Earning his first doctorate degree in 2009 (Doctorate of Physical Therapy) and his second doctorate in 2016 (PhD in Health Sciences), strengthened by numerous specialty certifications by the most prestigious educational sources across the world, his educational background demonstrates mastery in the fields he represents. Dr. Woodard also conducts research in the fields of endurance athletics and the treatment of men with pelvic floor conditions earning him international recognition. He proudly serves as a founding director of the Male Pelvic Health Special Interest Group of the Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy within the APTA. Dr. Woodard is also a candidate for the highest distinction as a manual therapist currently completing requirements to become a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Therapists (FAAOMPT).
After several years as a musical theatre performer, he began his journey as an endurance athlete having competed in multiple marathons, several Ironman triathlons, Ultraman Florida and other extreme endurance events.
Dr. Woodard is the founder of a NYC based physical therapy practice and continues to enjoy treating a wide range of patients including men with pelvic health conditions, circus performers, professional dancers and performers, and endurance athletes.
