Register for a Summer Session at Hunter
Whether you're looking to catch up on lost time or get on the fast track to earning your degree, Summer Sessions at Hunter are a great way to make progress on your academic goals. Learn more about taking Summer courses as a current Hunter student, transfer, first-year freshman, or visiting student.
Current Hunter Students
If you are currently enrolled at Hunter, you may enroll in Summer courses directly through Schedule Builder available in your CUNYfirst Student Center. Undergraduate students may also be eligible for a $500 Summer Scholarship.
Transfer Students
As an incoming transfer student, you may enroll in a Summer course on or after the enrollment appointment date/time indicated in your CUNYfirst Student Center.
Summer Start/First-Year Freshmen
Entering freshmen may apply to Hunter's Summer Start Program. The Summer Start Program is intended to help our first-year freshman students get acquainted to campus and get a jump start on their degree prior to attending Hunter full-time in the Fall. Apply by the priority deadline of May 1, 2022.
Visiting Students
Visiting students are responsible for determining that they have completed required prerequisites and confirming the transferability of Hunter credits with their home institution. To register for Summer courses, visiting students must first apply for Non-Degree Admission.
