General Information
The JEOL JEM-2100 Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) is available to all members of Hunter’s Department of Chemistry. User training and scheduling are coordinated through Jacopo Samson.
Instrumentation
The JEM-2100 TEM is a multipurpose, 200 kV analytical electron microscope a high-resolution system (HRTEM package) that is capable of imaging at 1.5Mx, with a maximum resolution as fine as 0.2nm. It also has an attached energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy system for chemical characterization of samples. The TEM supports research and development in a range of scientific fields, from biology and biochemical to materials research studies.
