Information for Students

Student services continues to offer the majority of its services remotely. All office hours, virtual drop-in times, and contact information are posted at each service area website.  In many cases, our offices have made many exciting adaptations to improve its ability to support students in a remote format.  The following are examples of the remote delivery of our services, including notable enhancements, that will continue this fall:

  • Registrar: Processes have been converted to online submission (e.g. declaration of major, records requests, immunizations).
  • Recreation: Group fitness programs will be offered remotely.
  • Advising: EAB Navigate will be leveraged to communicate with students and assist with appointment scheduling.
  • Admissions: Orientation programs will be offered remotely.  SchoolsApp and UniBuddy will help new students connect with one another and our campus.
  • Counseling and Wellness Services (CWS): Weekly virtual drop-in support groups will be offered on topics including; Coping with Covid-19 Anxiety and Racism, Injustice, and Change. Students may also email queries and will receive nearly immediate replies during business hours.
  • The Learning Support Centers, including the Skirball Science Center, Dolciani Math Center, and Rockowitz Writing Center, will continue to operate fully remote. Each center will continue to offer combinations of weekly sessions, drop-in tutoring, and workshops.

Our Purple Apron Food Pantry operates at both the Main Campus and Brookdale Campus during the fall and spring semesters.  This service provides students with a bag of non-perishable canned and dry goods, supplemented by fresh produce, dairy, and frozen meat, as available. One bag will make about four meals.

Our Fresh Food Boxes include bread, eggs and produce locally sourced from New York farms.

The Purple Apron Food Pantry is open to all currently enrolled CUNY students with current CUNY ID. Boxes and bags are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

No sign-up required. Walk-ins are welcome! Please bring your own reusable bag, if possible.
