International Students
The F-1 Visa is a non-immigrant student visa issued for individuals who wish to study in the United States. Before applying for an F-1 Visa, you must first obtain a SEVIS I-20 from the International Students Office. Review the required documents to apply for a SEVIS I-20 and follow the outlined steps to complete your F-1 Visa application process.
Prepare to Attend Hunter
All new first-year students at Hunter College are required to attend one Freshman Orientation session. You must register to secure your spot. Please check orientation website for more details. Required Freshman Orientation Dates:
- Aug 6 – Orientation for Freshmen Admitted to Pre-Nursing Track
- Aug 11, 13, 18 – Orientation for Freshmen interested in STEM Majors
- Aug 20 - Orientation for Freshmen interested in Social Sciences & Humanities
- Aug 25 – International Student Orientation (Students on F-1/J-1 student visa only)
