There she encountered the various erasures that have plagued Latinx culture and art, solidifying her passion for creating new art platforms centered on Latinx voices. Serving as an administrative assistant for contemporary artist Lucia Hierro, Rebecca has had the opportunity to receive mentorship from Ms. Hierro, a prospering Latinx artist and arts educator.

Upon graduating from Hunter, Rebecca intends to pursue an MA in curatorial studies.
