Overview
Hunter Has Heart is a cohort-based volunteer experience with a substantive out-of-classroom learning component. HHH aims to develop student leadership skills and to empower students with the relevant knowledge and project-based experience to make a practical impact in their local community.
The projects will center on social justice through student advocacy.
Meetings and presentations will take place in virtual and in-person settings. Volunteer hours may be completed in a virtual or in-person setting.
Fall Semester
- Fulfill 25 volunteer hours
- Participate in weekly meetings
- Attend leadership development events
- Reading assignments/journal
- Group project proposal presentation
Spring Semester
- Fulfill 25 volunteer hours
- Participate in weekly meetings
- Attend leadership development events
- Reading assignments/journal
- Group project/advocacy work
- Spring break experiential learning trip.
If selected, you must be available on Wednesdays from 2:30 pm–3:45 pm for group meetings (unless the College is closed or changes in the class schedule).
Qualifications
Must be a matriculated freshman, sophomore or junior. Must have a GPA of 3.0 or better
