Hunter Has Heart (HHH)

Overview

Hunter Has Heart is a cohort-based volunteer experience with a substantive out-of-classroom learning component. HHH aims to develop student leadership skills and to empower students with the relevant knowledge and project-based experience to make a practical impact in their local community.

The projects will center on social justice through student advocacy.

Meetings and presentations will take place in virtual and in-person settings. Volunteer hours may be completed in a virtual or in-person setting.

Fall Semester
  • Fulfill 25 volunteer hours
  • Participate in bi-monthly meetings
  • Attend leadership development events
  • Reading assignments/journal
  • Group project proposal presentation
Spring Semester
  • Fulfill 25 volunteer hours
  • Participate in bi-monthly meetings
  • Attend leadership development events
  • Reading assignments/journal
  • Group project/advocacy work
  • Spring Experiential Learning Trip (April 14-18, 2026)

If selected, you must be available every other Wednesdays from 2:30 pm - 3:45 pm for group meetings (unless the college is closed or changes in the class schedule).

Qualifications

Must be a matriculated freshman, sophomore or junior. Must have a GPA of 3.0 or better

Friday, September 5 at 11:59 pm

Finalist Interview

Finalists will be contacted for a virtual interview. Finalist interview will be conducted on Thursday, September 11 at 2:30 pm.

Notification

Applicants will receive a notification no later than Thursday, September 18.
