In her role as Cultural Affairs Commissioner of the Undergraduate Student Government, she widely expanded the resources available for clubs and organized events that highlight the rich diversity of cultures present on campus. Additionally, she has been a Student Ambassador and active member of the Hunter College Senate. She served as a Freshman Senator and a Student Admissions Leader. In her role as Freshman Senator, Natasha helped manage the Purple Peeriod Project, write proposals to create a better Hunter for students, and plan several club collaborations. As Cultural Affairs Commissioner, she is committed to being accessible and transparent with those involved in clubs/student organizations, advocating for student concerns, and hosting events to enrich campus culture. Evening Affairs Commissioner | Sofia Rothermel Advocates for Change and Empowerment at Hunter | Sofia Rothermel is majoring in English Literature and Classics and minoring in Psychology and Human Rights. She has been the Evening Affairs Commissioner of the Undergraduate Student Government, a peer mentor for MHC, and a Student Ambassador. As Evening Affairs Commissioner, Sofia has put together a variety of events for the student body to enjoy, ranging from cake decorating with Kitsby, building bears with Build-A-Bear, and a concert at Terminal 5. External Affairs/Public Relations Commissioner | Daniel Cronin Advocates for Change and Empowerment at Hunter | Daniel Cronin is pursuing a degree in History, Political Science, and Classical Studies. He has been the External Affairs Commissioner of the Undergraduate Student Government, a University Student Senate delegate, and a first-year peer mentor. As External Affairs Commissioner, Daniel has expanded social media engagement efforts, improved CUNY inter-campus communication channels, and increased Hunter's involvement in statewide legislative efforts. Finance Commissioner | Colin Pratasevich Advocates for Change and Empowerment at Hunter | Colin Pratasevich is majoring in Chemistry I with minors in Mathematics and Biological Sciences. He has been the Finance Commissioner of the Hunter College Undergraduate Student Government (USG) and a University Student Senate delegate. In addition, Colin also works as a chemistry tutor at Hunter’s Skirball Tutoring Center and as a research assistant in the chemistry department. As Finance Commissioner, Colin has worked to uphold the transparency and accessibility of USG’s budgeting and finances. He hopes to continue collaborating with clubs and student organizations to ensure equitable access to funding. | ||
Residence Life Commissioner | Anaya Huggins Advocates for Change and Empowerment at Hunter | Anaya Huggins is a Yalow Honors Scholar majoring in Public Health and Anthropology with a certificate in Business Studies. She has actively engaged with students as a Student Ambassador, Orientation Leader, and Resident Assistant (RA) at Brookdale. She is also involved in programs with the Urban Public Health Club and the Housing at Hunter Committee. As a Housing Committee member and RA, Anaya has experience coordinating fun events and dealing with housing-related issues. In her capacity as Sophomore Senator, Nancy helped plan numerous events and revamp the USG TikTok. Senior Senator | Joweel Al Shahin Advocates for Change and Empowerment at Hunter | Joelle Al Shahin is a Yalow Scholar pursuing a pre-dental track and majoring in Biology. She served as the Treasurer of the Pre-Dental Society Club. Joelle also mentors Hunter students through PHMI, tutors underrepresented children, and works with Hunter Red Cross. As a Junior Senator, she helped organize student events like a headshots session, a vision board event, blood drives, and the Purple Period Project. If elected Senior Senator, Joelle will strive to promptly address any issues or requests brought up by the Senior student body while also establishing an inviting and safe environment for all. | ||

Outside of Hunter, she works as a medical assistant in an OBGYN private clinic and pursues her clinical interests in obstetrics as a volunteer for Northwell Health. Caily served on the Auxiliary Enterprise Corporation and is an active member of the Evening and External Affairs committees, for whom she plans events and makes TikToks. As Senior Senator, she is committed to ensuring the highest standards of student life quality. She is always ready to listen to others to better represent the extensive "student voice." | ||
Senior Senator | Daniil Tagaev Advocates for Change and Empowerment at Hunter | Daniil Tagaev is a Thomas Hunter Scholar majoring in Biological Sciences and minoring in Political Science. He has served as Senate Chair in the Undergraduate Student Government. Daniil's goal is to ensure that all students have continued and expanded access to resources. Daniil hopes, among other things, to improve communication between the Hunter administration and the student body as a whole. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, reading, and serving his neighborhood community through working with various nonprofit organizations. | ||
Junior Senator | Litzy Antonio Advocates for Change and Empowerment at Hunter | Litzy Antonio is a Thomas Hunter Honors student in their junior year, majoring in Anthropology with a minor in Psychology and a mini concentration in Spanish. Litzy served as the president of the Queer Student Union and as a Student Admissions Ambassador, assisting prospective applicants and providing insight into what it's like to be a Hunter student. He has been a tutor for the CUNY Tutor Corps and a member of Hunter’s Teacher Opportunity Corps, where he has participated in workshops on culturally responsive teaching. Anel has a passion for education and education policy, and he hopes to use his role in USG to help students excel academically. Junior Senator | Sofyah Rashad Independent | Sofyah Soleil-Rashad is majoring in Economics and minoring in Sociology. She is a member of the Hunter Accounting Society and teaches Financial Literacy in high schools across New York City. She has a passion for building communities through active involvement and listening. She hopes to use her position in USG to empower and connect with others. Sofyah aims to make more resources available to students, encourage events tailored to student’s needs, and build a sense of rapport with the Hunter student body. | ||
Junior Senator | Juniper Sokolov Advocates for Change and Empowerment at Hunter | Juniper Sokolov is a Roosevelt scholar, majoring in Clinical Psychology, Philosophy, Politics, and Society, and pursuing a certificate in Queer Policy. He is an active member of Hunter's YDSA and WHCS Radio. At his current internship at PEN America, Juniper works to combat federal and state prisons' draconian censorship policies and foster support for incarcerated writers. As an emerging community organizer, Juniper builds connections with Hunter students and advocates for improved infrastructure for students underserved by university administration. As Junior Senator, Juniper intends to create a welcoming environment responsive to the needs of Hunter students. | ||
Sophomore Senator | Christopher Chawki Advocates for Change and Empowerment at Hunter | Christopher Chawki is pursuing a degree in Biochemistry. Recently a Freshman Senator in the Undergraduate Student Government, Christopher served on the Cultural and Evening Affairs committees, where he helped organize exciting cultural and social events for the student body. As Sophomore Senator, he will advocate for expanded student mental health resources and work to improve relations with Hunter College administration. Sophomore Senator | Rachel Parsley Advocates for Change and Empowerment at Hunter | Rachel Parsley is in the Thomas Hunter Honors program, majoring in Anthropology and minoring in Political Science, with a concentration in Geography. They are a student ambassador in the Hunter Admissions office, where they welcome prospective students and staff major campus events such as the career fair and commencement. As a Sophomore Senator, Rachel intends to ensure all voices and perspectives at Hunter College are represented and advocated for. If elected, Rachel will fight for reinvestment in the CUNY system and infrastructure, giving Hunter students the quality education and college experience they deserve. | ||

She serves as an honors scholar peer leader for the Yalow Honors Scholar Program and is currently a College Association officer representing the Undergraduate Student Government. Outside of Hunter, Amna works as a pediatric medical assistant. As a College Association officer, she hopes to make an impact by ensuring that every event has adequate funding. She currently serves as a College Association officer for the Undergraduate Student Government. Nicole is also on the Student Welfare Committee, where she helps provide health services to students and advocates for expanded wellness programs on campus. Outside of Hunter, Nicole does research at Rockefeller University and is the Project Director for The Premed Scene. He works as a waiter and hopes to start Hunter College's first Italian Club in the fall. She is currently on the Faculty Student Disciplinary Committee (FSDC), where she advocates for students facing plagiarism claims. She is also on the Cultural and Evening Affairs committee where she helps execute events for the happiness of the student body. Bolanle has enjoyed representing the student body and aspires to take more suggestions from the student body on what they would like to see on campus.
