You will need to have a Hunter College Identification Cards/OneCard to print on OneCard printers. For more information, please contact the OneCard Office.
Soon employees and students will be able to obtain an electronic version of the Hunter College identification card on their smart phone or iPhone devices. Until then, the physical ID card distributed by the OneCard Office remains the only official identification for access to buildings, venues and other services, and when requested by a college official.
The identification card must be shown to any Hunter College personnel upon request.
Upon termination of employment, employees must hand in their identification card to the Office of Human Resources, where it will be forwarded to the Department of Public Safety and OneCard Office.
If the employee is continuing as a student, the individual may obtain a student identification card at the OneCard Office.
There is a $10 replacement fee for lost or damaged ID cards.
Go to either Bursars Office, which is located in Hunter North 2nd Floor, or to the OneCard Kiosk Machine on the 1st Floor West Building to obtain a replacement.
To obtain a OneCard, go to the OneCard Office located in the West Building Room 203.
All students MUST bring:
New employees must fill out appropriate paperwork in the Office of Human Resources before going to the OneCard Office for their photo ID.
The Hunter College OneCard is used for security and safety matters, admission to various college facilities and events, access to certain buildings and rooms and to utilize library services and public computers.
If you are an affiliate or vendor, the department that you will be reporting to will need to request that a temporary ID be created for you.

Your Mobile OneCard is now available in Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, and Samsung Wallet!
The OneCard is available to all enrolled students and current employees. Tap your iPhone, Apple Watch, Samsung Galaxy, or other eligible Android phones at readers across campus to conveniently use your Mobile OneCard. Your Mobile OneCard acts just like your physical card; now you can add it to your preferred digital wallet.
Most users can begin using their Mobile OneCard on their phone in minutes. An approved photo is required, and all Students, Faculty, and Staff with a physical OneCard ID are encouraged to utilize their Mobile OneCard. Follow these steps including photo submission to get your Mobile OneCard.
CUNY is implementing multi-factor authentication (MFA) to provide more secure access to CUNY applications and services and to better protect your and CUNY’s data from cyber-attack. CUNY Microsoft 365 users are already familiar with MFA as it is required when logging into Microsoft 365. The following, one-time procedure provides instructions on setting up CUNY Login MFA for use with the Microsoft Authenticator mobile app. The same general steps apply if you use the Google Authenticator or Oracle Mobile Authenticator app instead.

Name information on the Mobile OneCard comes to us from CUNYFirst and needs to be updated there. Students should contact the Registrar’s Office. Faculty and staff should contact their HR representative to request updates. Once changes are completed, the updates will sync to the Mobile OneCard on your phone within 48 hours.
A negative balance can occur if you make a transaction when a retail device is offline. When the device returns online and the transaction is posted, you will see a negative balance if there are insufficient funds in your account to cover the transaction.
Return to the location of the sale and ask the store to issue a credit card refund, then process the transaction against your Mobile OneCard.
As with your physical OneCard, your Mobile ID will become inactive when you no longer meet eligibility requirements. If you transfer to another participating program or department at Hunter College, your credentials will stay active and update accordingly.

No, your Mobile-ID will be your primary OneCard.
No, your physical OneCard will be disabled after you have added your Mobile OneCard to your device. Remember, the Mobile ID is a privilege and benefit of being part of the Hunter College community. Anyone found to be misusing their physical card or Mobile-ID will be subject to the applicable Code of Conduct or HR policies regarding fraud and misconduct.
Yes, you must install the updated version of the Transact eAccounts mobile app.
Visit your device’s App Store or Google Play Store and search Transact eAccounts. The store will prompt you to install any required updates.
Confirm your device is not in Airplane Mode or experiencing any other service interruption. Updates cannot be made when no connecting service syncs data between Transact eAccounts and your device. The Transact eAccounts app will display the most current information.
What should I do if I lose my card or device or believe there has been fraudulent use of my credential?
