Office of AccessABILITY

Our Mission

The Office of AccessABILITY's goal is to enhance the educational experience for students with disabilities at Hunter College. Our mission is to ensure a comprehensively accessible college experience for all students with disabilities. The program is also committed to promoting access and awareness as a resource to all members of the Hunter College community.

While complying with the letter of the law, the Office of AccessABILITY also embraces its spirit by providing services to all students with permanent or temporary disabilities to ensure that all Hunter College programs and activities are accessible. We work in collaboration with all departments and divisions of the college to facilitate and advocate for our students and, assist students to maximize their potential while helping them develop and maintain independence. Our philosophy is one that promotes self-awareness, self-determination, and self-advocacy in a comprehensively accessible environment.
