Hunter College’s Baker Building, located at 151 East 67th Street, between Lexington and Third Avenues, is now fully open to students, faculty, and staff, with no further restrictions. All classes will be held as scheduled.

The PossAbilities Club

About Our Club

The PossAbilities Club advocates for and supports students who have visible and/or invisible disabilities. A major goal of the club is to provide camaraderie and support in order to improve retention and graduation rates for our members. Together, we provide awareness of the everyday challenges experienced by our students, through educational and social events, fundraising, and support groups.

We also promote awareness about the variety of disabilities through exciting initiatives and events such as film festivals, celebrations, art shows and cultural events. We work closely with the CUNY Coalition for Students with Disabilities (CCSD), to address student concerns in regards to accessibility across the City University.

We welcome your thoughts and ideas for enhancing services for students with disabilities at Hunter College.

PossAbilities Partnerships

CUNY Coalition for Students with Disabilities (CCSD)
CCSD is committed to increasing awareness, creating opportunity, and fostering community among CUNY’s more than 9,000 students with disabilities. CCSD works with and coordinates with the student disability clubs on CUNY campuses.

At Hunter College, CCSD works with the PossAbilities Club to plan events and support students with disabilities at the College and throughout CUNY through presentations and lobbying.

 

Achilles International
This non-profit organization has chapters and members in over 65 locations within the United States and abroad. Achilles provides athletes with disabilities with a community of support through events organized in parks, gyms, and tracks all over the world.
