About

Medical conditions may include, but are not limited to: anemia, asthma, cancer, cerebral palsy, Chrohn’s disease, diabetes, epilepsy, fibromyalgia, heart disease, HIV-AIDS, lupus, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, sickle cell disease, and traumatic brain injury.

Support and Accommodations

The support and accommodations provided to each student are based upon the documentation presented by the student. The documentation is evaluated, and the student will discuss reasonable accommodations with a disability specialist. Some of the accommodations utilized by students with psychological and or medical conditions include:

  • Alternative test-taking accommodations
  • Locker (assigned based on priorities)
  • Personal, academic, and career track counseling
  • Priority registration
  • Program planning and advisement specific to the student's needs

Not all students will need all of the above services.

Specific accommodations are based on the diagnostic information provided by each student and consultation with the Intake Counselor.
