Registration Checklist

  1. Confirm your enrollment appointment on your CUNYfirst account.
  2. Clear any holds, stops or negative service indicators on your record.
  3. Make sure the immunization requirement has been satisfied.
  4. Identify the classes you want:
    • Review your DegreeWorks report (undergraduates only.)
    • Check the catalog for major requirements, prerequisites and other critical course information.
    • Review the schedule of classes with textbook information.
    • Ensure you have met any required prerequisites for courses.
  5. Schedule an appointment with your advisor through the Navigate Students mobile app to confirm your academic plan.
  6. Review important Registrar Policies that are applicable to you.
  7. Register for classes by logging into your CUNYfirst account and using Schedule Builder to plan out your schedule around your specific needs.
  8. Pay your tuition and fees to maintain your enrollment.
  9. If available, use the waitlist, get permission or overtally if a class you need or want is full.
  10. Add, swap or drop classes as needed to adjust your schedule.
